Mountain Bike Duathlon Series
Round and Round offers this new series for Mountain Bikers and Runners alike. These races will be held in the same locations as our WIM Mountain Bike Race Series events and use some of the same courses. The Finals for this series will be held the day following the Dubikeathlon at Riverside State park. This event unlike other Duathlons, will be a mountain bike-run-mountain bike format. The first mountain bike leg will be approximately 8-12 miles, followed by a 3-4 mile run. Then you will finish up with another 4-6 miles on your bike. This series is open to individuals and 2 person teams. Sorry, no 3 person teams.
The first of the series at High Bridge Park in Spokane will use the exact same course as the McMud Fest Mountain Bike Race for both bike legs. The run will skirt both sides of the Latah Creek. Minimal elevation change for both bike and run.
The second race and the finals will be at Riverside State Park, and will include a mix of double and single track. The courses will be different each time. Riverside is light on the technical side, so races there will be a pure test of speed over skill!
The third race at Beacon Hill will be a bit more challenging. This is, after all, a “hill” so you can expect some climbing as well as descending.
