Each team is required to provide one volunteer for a 4 hour shift.
Solo riders do not need a volunteer, but must have a support person with them to keep track of their whereabouts!
Volunteers receive an event t-shirt, midnight feed access and post event pasta feed ticket.
Volunteers are assigned to a job based on Group numbers assigned at registration (see details under the register pulldown menu).
Sign up sheets will be posted on site during volunteer sign-in on Friday at 4pm, starting with Group A. The actual volunteer doesn't have to sign the paperwork, any person on the team may do this for them, but it is the team's responsibility to pass along the hours and job assignment to the volunteer.
A variety of shifts run through the entire 24 hour time period.
If the volunteer doesn't show up for their shift, the team is disqualified.
No volunteer positions will be assigned earlier than Friday at 4:00 PM.
Promoters have the right to request early volunteer positions from those who are among the first 15 teams to sign up if needed. We will contact you.
Your volunteer must be over 18 years of age.
If a team member wishes to participate as the volunteer, that is ok, however, he/she must be available for the entire 4 hour shift.
The only place where shifts can be split is in the timing tent.
Sample volunteer jobs: Timing tent recorder, dismount caller, number plate caller, checkpoint station attendant, road marshal, awards helper, kids race helper.
We appreciate your help in providing these volunteers, as we would not be able to do this event without them!!
